Through these cyanotypes I am exploring the ideas of new materialism and that the ocean has it’s own agency in creating or erasing memories. The works can be very volatile so I photograph them at various points as they’re made and dried to catch the colours and shapes as they continue to change over time. In some cases the changes are so intense all I have left of the original state are memories and photographs.
